SUCH exciting news! Ed Fraser captured this photo of the Superb Fruit-Dove on 18th April.
It was taken at Brookfield and is the first recorded sighting of this bird in our catchment EVER!
Ed believes the bird may have been on its way to the Cape or Papua New Guinea.
There are fifty Fruit-Doves worldwide but only three are found in Australia: the Rose-Crowned, the Wompoo and the Superb.
Now all three have been photographed right here in our catchment!
